How much time do corporate headshots take?

For small groups, headshots typically take under an hour to actually shoot with proper preparation and a streamlined process. A medium to large sized group can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. While, doing an entire corporation may take 8+ hours or often times broken down into multiple sessions throughout the year.

Why are headshots so expensive?

There is a multitude of reasons why headshots may be expensive. Here, we will cover a handful of reasons. You are not simply paying for a photographer’s time while shooting the actual headshots. Majority of professional headshots have some serious time put into them when it comes to post-production. Properly edited headshots could have anywhere from fifteen minutes to a full hour per image invested. To execute team headshots well, there also needs to be time invested into planning and coordinating. Time spent on location scouting, scheduling, and setup all factor into costs. Lastly, well-done headshots require expensive equipment from lights to cameras and lenses, to the actual software behind an entire process.

Do Corporate Headshots need to be done on a seamless backdrop?

Absolutely not. Your headshots will have a better impact if done uniquely. Lifestyle headshots can convey what the people that make up a team do. Or a specifically designed setting can help distinguish the company brand and personalities. The planning process of organizational headshots allows discussion of details like these.

Is it worth getting team headshots when we have a heavy rotation?

Yes. Especially, if team members and employees are actively communicating, servicing, or interacting with people. Putting a professional face to a name can make or break sales, trust, and overall brand image. At Ventrait, we partner with organizations to ensure that every employee has a headshot and that new employees look professional from the start. We do this through a unique process that does not consume time from the organization and actually saves the company money.
